Lisa Schwartz

Lisa is a former friend of Shane Dawson. Lisa is actually Shane's girlfriend. Lisa is a different kind of YouTuber. Well, I don't know if you want to say different, but she... She's a lot funnier than some of the YouTubers, lets put it that way! Lisa does "Dare Wednesday" videos, "Super Scriber Fridays", random vlog videos, and so much more.

Lisa got asked some random questions comediva.com. Here are the questions and her answer>
Lisa's Interview

Q: What's your favorite cupcake flavor?

A: I'm a glutard. I can't handle the excitement of gluten. So no cupcakes for me. It's tragic, I know. And don't try to tell me that I can have gluten free cupcakes. Have you tried them? They taste like someone chewed up cardboard and then regurgitated it into my mouth. I'll pass. Wine is my favorite cupcake.

Q:What or whom inspired you to pursue a career in comedy?

A:My family. I grew up in a home full of neurotic Jews. Comedy just came natural, second to guilt. We always had Seinfeld on, and laughed our way through awkward family events. When there was a problem, we'd panic, obsess over it, and then laugh. Quickly I realized if I could make people laugh, my awkwardness would be accepted. And so became my lifelong journey to mask my weirdness as cleverness.

Q: If Chuck Norris were to corner you in an alley and challenge you to a duel, what would be your weapon of choice?

A: I'm a lover. Not a fighter. I'd kindly smile at Mr. Norris and ask him why he needs to use violence. And then suggest he try yoga to relieve the fire within. Then I'd take his weapon, sell it on eBay as memorabilia at a high cost, head to the local bar, and yell "Drinks on Chuck Norris tonight!" Now that's badass.

Lisa's Life:
Lisa was born in Tarzana California. Lisa grew up with her mom, her dad, her brother, and a dog named Max. Lisa tried fitting in. She tried sports, and failed at it. She tried ballet, and failed at it. She tried art classes, and failed at it. Then she collected cabbage patched kids, and loved it. She eventually found her way to the stage and was in a theatre production of Peter Pan. "As soon as I hopped out on to the stage, I knew I didn't want to be anywhere else", Lisa says. She went to a small elementary school and was known as the sweet, nice one. Lisa explains, "I was the golden child". Fourth grade came, and Lisa started to hate school because of her teacher Ms. Swope. She pretended to have stomach aches just to get out of class. "Just when I thought I wanted to tie the tether ball rope around my chubby little neck, Brandi Midtalk walked into class. She was a transfer student, and also the coolest fourth grader I have ever seen. She was bad*ss and way mature. And after a few weeks, I got to be her best friend! Together we discovered boy crushes, chat rooms, and prank calling. We spent every minute together. And I learned from her to not give a [thing] about what anybody thinks." In seventh grade, Lisa left Brandi and her elementary school behind and moved to a preppy school. As time went on, Lisa got a lot of friends, but she also got a lot of bullying pointed towards her. Lisa had a bullying situation with a guy she liked. A few weeks later, he called her fat with her friends and made her self conscious about her weight. At home, things weren't the best either. Lisa's parents would fight a lot more often than not. Many nights, she would find herself with her ear up against her bedroom door listening to them fight. Then listening to her dad leave. Then listening to her mom cry. "Then id crawl into bed and cry myself to sleep," Lisa says. Her dad would always be back in the morning, and her mom was always smiling, but she knew in her heart that everything was not okay. Just to be happy, Lisa stayed in the activity she loved best; theatre. Theatre starting being a HUGE part of Lisa's life. In November 1998, Lisa got a call that she still remembers word for word. She found out her best friend Brandi was hit by a car and died. Lisa explains, "I remember falling to my knees. You know the way you see people do it in the movies? How could this be? How could this happen to my friend?" After everyone moved on, as did Lisa, she went to college. after weeks of arriving, she found friends, and she also found her self on stage in all the theatre classes. During college, Lisa got another call. Her parents called her on a conference call, and they told her they were getting a divorce. To avoid that situation, she made a pack with herself and told herself to never go home. During the summer, Lisa got jobs. College was the best time of her life. Graduation came, and she had to go home. Lisa packed her stuff, went home, and found her home vacant. Her brother had moved, her mom had moved, her dog had died, and it was just me and my dad living in what felt like an old frat house. After college, Lisa hit rock bottom. Eventually, Lisa left home and got an apartment in Hollywood. She began to eat healthy, exercise regularly, and continue to work with a therapist. She even started a childrens theatre. Lisa auditioned for the Fine Brothers, and they eventually changed her life. She met a boy named Shane Dawson. The Fine Brothers encouraged Lisa to do YouTube, so she tried it! YouTube changed and saved Lisa's life. "So, here I am now. I have the best friends in the whole world, a job I couldn't have even dreamed of, a functionally dysfunctional family who has extended and grown together. We even all celebrate holidays together. A boyfriend who was once just that Shane Dawson fellow, and a puppy! And all of you, my new friends. My support team. My little bugs. Thanks for being  apart of my life."

Lisa had a life of ups and downs, but YouTube really saved her. If it wasn't for her fans to watch her videos... she doesn't know where she'd be today. I, myself, am so happy Lisa found YouTube. I'm really happy YouTube saved her. If you want to see where I got the information for Lisa's Life, here is her DRAW MY LIFE - LISA SCHWARTZ.

Shane isn't a "regular YouTuber" if that's what you want to call them. Shane has hundreds of videos, and a lot of them are him dressing up in different women or men costumes. Some of these costumes include; Aunt Hilda, Shanaynay, and some just random other celebrities. Shane makes spoofs, music videos, and videos that are funny, but they have a point to them.

Shane's Life:
When Shane was a baby, before he was even born, his mother, Teresa, thought he was going to be a girl. She had all the baby stuff ready and everything. When she found out Shane was a boy, she threw all that stuff out. Ironical... he wears women cloths for videos these days... Anyways, Shane was born into his family with his mom, his dad, and his two brothers, Jared and Jacob. Shane and his brothers became really close. Shane says that was mainly because they were all scared of their dad. "He would take his anger out on my mom and us pretty much every night", Shane says. Shane says hitting them wasn't the worse part. The worse part was the words his dad said to them. Shane says he always believed him. "Even up to my twenties I thought he was right", says Shane. When Shane was nine, his dad left the family for another women. After his dad left, he didn't have any friends, so he ended up hanging out with his grandma. His grandma always made chocolate chip cookies because she said it would cure a broken heart. Shane says, "And she was right. Food made me feel a lot better, but it also made me gain a lot of weight." Shane also says, "I do remember when me and my mom would go to the movies and people would say, 'Aren't you ladies cute together?' Yeah. That didn't really help with my self-a-steam issues." Shane and his family had to move because his dad took everything when he went to go live with his new girlfriend. Including the money. They lost there house, but Shane says he was okay with it because all that stuff in that house remind him of his old, bad memories. Shane started middle school, and he met a girl that was one of the only people in his life that truly understands him. Her name was Kate, and she was half Asian, so Shane would always make fun of her, but she never made fun of him back because he had enough of that from the other kids. In High school, Shane meet a bigger group of friends. Shane says, "I wasn't very picky. I'd pretty much take what I can get." Everyone knew about Shane and his group of friends, but they called them freaks. His eleventh grade teacher gave them an assignment on dictatorship. "Me and my group made the craziest, most offensive, most insane video of all time. My teacher and the rest of my class loved it! They gave us a standing ovation! That's the first time I ever had a group of people laughing with me, not at me." At this moment, Shane chose to lose weight and pursue his dream of acting and directing in Hollywood. Shane lost 150 pounds! Before he could go to Hollywood and live out his dream, he had to save up some money. Shane's mother, Teresa, got him a job at Jenny Craig. Shane and his coworkers, including his mom, made a YouTube video together. Their boss saw the video they made and fired everyone. "He fired my mom, me, and six other people that worked there, and it was all because of me," Shane says. Shane's family was out of jobs, and they were about to lose their apartment. Right when he was thinking about giving up, they got a call from YouTube. They asked Shane if he wanted to be a partner, which meant he got to turn his hobby into a job. "It was perfect. It was exactly what I have been praying for." Shane says, "And everyday since, I thank God for letting me where wigs and tell d*ck jokes for a living". Shane was eventually able to move his family to Hollywood. He was making video's on YouTube, He was having meetings with lots of Hollywood people, and he was working on his first TV show. Then a tragedy happened. On May 4th, 2010, Shane's grandmother passed away. Shane explains, "I knew it was coming, but I didn't take it so well. I felt like nothing mattered anymore. Not YouTube, Not Hollywood, not anything. It kinda felt like a part of me died." It took Shane a long time to get back on track. "Thinking about all the kids that watched my videos made me realize that I cant give up. "I was born for this," says Shane, "And if anyone out there could relate to these f*cked up, abused, suicidal, less fortunate, confused, abandoned kids on the internet, it was me." Shane then says, "That leads me to today. I have a great family, great friends, a great girlfriend, and some really f'*cking cute animals. Best of all, I have you guys, and I love you more than you will ever know. You saved my life, and I'll never forget that. Thank you."

Shane didn't have the best life, but as you can see... we saved it. Us, his fans, saved his life. Saving his life, in a way, saved ours... If you want to check out Shane's "Draw My Life" video, where I got all the information from, go check it out: DRAW MY LIFE - Shane Dawson. Through all his videos and everything, Shane is trying to save us. Don't let go... keep moving on.

Come back next time for a new YouTuber! Tomorrow we will be doing Lisa Schwartz. Thanks guys for reading. See y'all next time.
